What is Spark?

Spark is a 2D top-down team-based internet-multiplayer capture-the-flag game, with compelling gameplay that is simple to learn for beginners but offers years of depth for the committed player. Spark has a loyal and dedicated community, where players group together into like-minded 'clans' to compete in a variety of community-run leagues, ladders and tournaments for ultimate bragging rights. Hey, you! Wanna help out?

Here's your chance! There are a bunch of Spark projects that people have started and either left unfinished or need more help to complete! If you're available, check out the Projects page, and see if you can find something you'd like to contribute to! Just contact the owner of that website, and see if there's any way you can help get things up and running! There is a gold mine of potential in the Spark community, and it's beyond time that it was tapped!

Merry Christmas... New Stuff! :D

Merry Christmas, everyone! Spark Realm has undergone a massive update. I've added a ton of new stuff to the Downloads section, like new maps, graphic and sound patches, screenshots, and a few new wallpapers will soon be coming down the pipe! I've also created an entirely new Projects section to help out players that are starting new Spark projects (or just wanna help out somehow) to find each other, connect, and create new Spark websites, leagues, and other fun stuff for all of us to enjoy!

There are also a bunch of little changes that will probably go unnoticed, but you might catch them if you have an eye for detail or if you find yourself here every once in awhile! =] Mostly just little stuff to make everything flow a bit better, make things more easy to understand, decrease the number of clicks to get to what you want, or pretty stuff up a bit. As usual, any suggestions and/or comments are welcome! Just use the Suggest page! Website maintenance is a job that's never really done! =]

Spark Racing League

Spark Realm is proud to introduce its first league: Spark Racing League!

Spark Racing League is a no-holds-barred, every-man-for-himself league in which only the speed of your tank and the dexterity of your fingers can get you to victory! You'll need to push your tank's maneuverability to the maximum, dodging traps, avoiding pitfalls, and finding the quickest routes to the finish line in order to beat the competition and claim the trophy cup of victory!

Anyone can do well; there's virtually no 'skill' required (not how Spark skill is normally measured). SRL is devoid of flag-capping, switch-flipping, and fragging of any kind! Drop by the Spark Racing League website and join the party!

Spark Radio

Once in a great while, something takes place that invokes speechlessness in every witness present. These events are few and far between, and in all truth, are sometimes even greater than they were first believed to be. Verily, this is one of those events.

The birth of Spark Radio is nigh!

Created by chrOnicstideGak and PitchblackItai, Spark Radio will follow in the same footsteps as LyriCal's ARC Radio did, so many years ago. There will be constant streaming radio, playing all of your favorite genres of music, an all-request hour, top request nights, user-submitted broadcast programs, Spark league newscasting, live Spark-related interviews, Spark-related advertisements, and last but not least, community rap battles!

The Spark Radio homepage will soon be complete, so keep checking back here for news and updates, including information on Spark Radio's Premiere Broadcast date! Prepare for the dawn of a new era of Spark!
